Finally, I’m getting some air! It is summer and the only time she lets me be out in the open experiencing fresh air! Not that I get to do this often, mind you. Only when she feels free enough to put on a swim suit and then that fresh air gets coupled with drowning, but at least I am free for those few moments - unlike the winter when I am layered beneath blankets of cotton, wool, and god-forbid polyester. That’s when it gets really stuffy and cotton monsters come and invade me. Little tiny balls of manipulation find their way deep into my crevices, and my only relief then is when she remembers to wash me. It’s a hard life but somebody has got to keep everything tied together around here. Believe me, it is no easy job keeping this girls guts intact. You should hear the voices behind me growling and gnashing constantly trying to push their way out. And don’t get me started on babies – the little monsters. They invade every last piece of space in my hemisphere pushing me way out in the open like a power button for a remote control. It was embarrassing. Thank goodness those days are over because you know, I am happy safely tucked in. But the voices! It must be like a human’s sixth sense. Sometimes I really think they are going to destroy me by shooting jalapeno flames straight through me. The things they say! It is like I am the only one hearing them sometimes – plotting their revenge for what Mouth lets inside her. But its summer and I’m going to stop complaining for the moment since I can finally feel the sun and Cotton finally left. I thought he would never leave! Hope she didn’t forget the sunscreen. She always forgets. I am the forgotten one just keeping it all tied together.
